Here are two spiral kites.
Here are two spray painted kites. They were made by Hana Jeon,Jarian Henare and Hunter Marshal.

Pod 9 is learning to make matariki kites ,it is for our blog. I love how it is hard but you still get to fly it ,thats the best bit. This kite was made by Jayden Booth, he drew his kite about sea animals and i love how he told us that he likes fishing.
Kiaroa my name is Kaia i am pod 9 blog master for the week.I love to explore nature and be outside with my friends.My favourite sport is netball.Me and my class are making kites,it is our teacher mr Nicolas who helps us make them,i'm really looking forward to fly it.I love to learn new maori words as well as working in class.

Pod 9 kite making instructions.

Step 1.
Measure and cut your wood. 50cm &70cm.

  1. cut notches in each end

3 on the 50cm piece measure and mark 25cm.
on the 70cm piece measure and mark 18 cm.

  1. line the two up in a cross and hot glue them together.make sure your notches are straight .
  2. Use string to tie the wood together.
  3. Put a bit of hot glue on top of string.
  4. put tape around the end of notches.
  5. tie string around each notch put a little bit of hot glue on top notch.
9.use rubbish bag and cut it open. 
10.get a meter ruler trace around kite with vivid.
  1. cut the traced part out.
  2. fold ends down with duck tape fold bottom part of your kite and put duck tape on it.
  3. for the ends get another piece of tape put tape on top and fold it.
  4. make a bridle out of string.
  5. tie around ends of side notches.
  6. put a bit of glue on  string of bridle
  7. put two holes at the bottom of your kite and put string through the holes
  8. cut ribbon and tie ribbons onto the string.

Hi pod 9 whanau, Here is the chicken clip from today.
Hi my name is Jett Mephan I'm this weeks blog master .  I love fishing and driving my Dad's boat .I also play soccer for  Kamo falcons. I like visiting new places. My favourite place to go on the boat is is the Hen and Chicken Islands. At home I love go on my quad bike and play with my lego and practise basic facts tests.

This is King Goldy our new class pet. He loves to eat fish flakes you know the ones that smell like dog food. As you can see he is a boy. his favourite game is fishy express. I rescued him from nearly getting eaten. He will give you support even thought he can’t talk. He is as nice as your mum hugging you.
