Drains to harbour comes to school
Today we were very lucky to have Harriet come in and help us learn more about drains and how pollution can affect fresh water and marine life. In these photos we are putting different things that may harm the environment such as chemicals, soil, rubbish found on the beach and shells into a bowl with water. We decided that everyone is responsible for pollution and not just one group of people.

Our topic this term is what wastewater and stormwater are and the differences between the two. Here we are looking for down pipes and drains then marking them on a map.
In maths we are learning to use part of a fraction to work out the size of the whole.e.g one quarter of ? = 12.
Hi my name is Angelina and I'm this weeks blog master. I enjoy reading, learning new topics and maths equations that involve fractions. My favourite things to do in pod 9 are art, writing, flying kites, drama and practicing plays. When I'm not at school I would probably be
with my family or doing something around the house.
