What did you enjoy about todays field trip to Otepapa stream?
What were some of the species that you found?
Do you think the stream is healthy and why?
I liked learning about the different species like ,The Fresh water cray fish and I never knew that some type of worms can live in water. I think the stream was healthy because it was flowing fast and it had lots of shade also it had no rubbish around it.
What I loved about our trip was when we all worked together and caught freshwater crayfish and I think it is a healthy stream cause there is a lot of stones and you can see the bottom.
My favorite part of today was searching and finding the fresh water crayfish.I think the stream is healthy because there is heaps of shade and there are heaps of different living things to find.
I think that its a healthy stream, coz there was bubbles to clean the stream. There was also lots of trees to hold the bank up. thank for the parent help and I had a really fun time .Thanks
My favourite part of today was finding bugs in the water. I think the stream is healthy because there is lots of shade and you can see the bottom. From Jayden
I liked that we saw crayfish. We found crayfish, water worms and small bugs. Yes I think the stream is healthy because when we did the tests they were good, there were rocks to oxygenate the water.
I hade fun on the trip cause I saw lots of new creatures I have never seen before like,flat mayflys,fresh water crayfish,and stoneflys. I think the stream was healthy beacase there were lots of high scored creatures

i loved seeing exotic animals that were so tiny like,mayflies,stoneflies and tiny snails.I thought that the stream was heathy because there weren't much worms witch there score was 1 so i think it is a heathy stream.
