Todays Science. Chemical reactions.

Todays science was all about chemical reactions. We mixed malt vinegar and baking soda to make what is called carbon dioxide. First, we poured malt vinegar into a measuring cup. Then, we  pulled out our balloon and baking soda and using a funnel we shook the baking soda into the balloon. Next, there was a reaction witch caused the balloon to inflate. Finally, we tried it with a bigger bottle and a bigger balloon which was a rubber glove.

  9. Ella.H here This is the science behind the experiment:The vinegar and baking soda made a chemical reaction that created carbon dioxide which surfaced inside the balloon causing it to inflate.

  10. Hi Django here. I liked the 'fire' talk you could hear in the background. I wonder what would happen if you sprayed it with water while it was flying?
